Second GP of the M2 Speed Tour season
1 week before this GP, during a training session, we broke the mast in two. Probably due to the lack of tension in the mast rigging and an unexpected strong wind. Michel, the owner, did an incredible job to restore the boat and it is already a small victory to participate in this GP with a repaired mainsail, a mast and a ladder lent by Espresso.
Still with Team Tinguely, but the crew is still changing, which doesn’t help to perform. We will have a lot of trouble to move the boat forward, to find the right modes and to have our eyes focused on tactics which is however fundamental on the lake. 9th out of 10, it’s hard for the morale and I would have liked to finish my last M2 regatta of the year a little better, but fortunately the atmosphere on board is great and we laugh about our mistakes while trying to improve.
Now, the regattas are going to follow each other every weekend and it’s going to get intense.
Next race is the Raid de Quiberon in ETF26 with Team Bourgnon.
