Last leg of the ETF26 Series 2022 during the Grand Pavois at the Club de La Rochelle 🌤 with Paul Melot and Romain Bellet and Antoine Iché as preparator 💪
6th again and 6th overall for the year
2022: we are progressing, the automatisms and the communication in the crew are becoming efficient. The fact that we have sailed a lot with the same crew, there is no secret, it helps a lot. The boat is becoming more reliable, so there is less tinkering and fewer missed races due to technical problems. We are starting to compete with our speed in a straight line. We still have to work on the turns 🏎️ and regularity. Whether it’s on starts, maneuvers or approaches to the gates. We’re too much in pass or fail mode 💥
We will keep in mind this day at Lake Garda where we walked/fly on the water during Foiling Week. After a muscular setting between us on board during the first round displeased with us, we made races of 3/2/2 and 1! What happiness!
The ETF26 class is getting international and the level is increasing a lot, we find ourselves against the best skippers in the world and it’s the best thing that could happen to us. Now we start to be frustrated not to be 5th, it’s a good sign 🙃
